Yippee, Skippee--A Day in the Life

Good Morning Chickas. I slept in this morning, so I'm a little late getting my "day in the life" post done. This project will run from Sunday to Saturday. Stay tuned for the exciting life of HIPPOCHICK!!
Sunday, October 19, 2008.

When I went out to get the paper, I found a heavy frost. I don't know if you can see the ice in the bird bath, but it's there.

The morning paper and coffee.

Prep time!

Decisions, decisions.

The best part of the week!

My sweet and silly Sunday school girls.

Breakfast at the Bee Skep! I should have taken a picture of my "Spring Morning Sandwich", poached eggs, spinach, tomato and cheddar cheese on an English muffin. Yummy!

Walking on the new all weather track at the High School
Walking, whether on the track, canal path or the treadmill, takes lots of energy. So...

Reading leads to...5:30 in the afternoon found us feeding the hungry hordes at Youth Group.

This is 'Kenzie (a real sweetie) and a friend.

Day's end found me writing my weekly letter to Jim's mom. He is in the habit of writing a little every day to his 93 year old mother, but her sight has failed so that she can't read his writing. He makes notes all week and on Sunday evening, I type a 16 point font, bold typeface letter. It seems to be working for all of us.

I planned to add some pics of Cold Case, my only Sunday show, but alas, I fell asleep in my chair. Stay tuned for more exciting pictures of the life of "Hippochick".

These are some GREAT pictures! I love your church; it is beautiful!!

And, frost in the morning? Wow! It's actually been chilly in the morning here too (maybe down around 45 or so) and it's been really nice!

I'm so excited that you're doing this project. I loved doing it!

I love that you/your hubby write a weekly letter to his mother. That's awesome. I should do something like that for my parents -- to keep 'em in the loop. We have phone calls, but letters add something more. Thanks for the inspiration!

I'm tired from just reading all that you do in a day! LOL I am busy evewry day, though, just more mental than physical, though, what with working and all.

That is so sweet that Jim writes to his mom like that. A letter just seems even better sometimes than a phone call, as a person can read that letter over and over again until the next one arrives. My mom and I both used to send a letter out every day besides the phone calls. It was great just knowing there would be a letter coming every day!
