Friday Fragments on Saturday

After a wonderful week of posting "A Day in the Life", I've been nothing but a slug this past week. In my defense, I must confess that I have been under the weather. It started with a little sore throat last Monday and escalated to laryngitis. I skipped prayer meeting on Tuesday, saying, "I'm going to nip this in the bud." Well, that didn't quite work.

I did manage to walk with Jim a couple of days - that is, the days we didn't have snow and rain. We have only one small section to finish our goal for the season, and I have no doubt we will get some really nice days yet.

Here are a couple of shots of this section of the path. We have marvelled to one another that each section has its own special personality. This has been such a fun adventure for us. I plan to scrap all of this sometime this coming winter when I am bemoaning being trapped in the house.

While I was napping and hoping to recover, Jim was busy working on his bathroom project.

I did manage to get into the "spirit" of things last night for a visit to our friend, Ken's new home for dinner. I actually used my tripod.

Ken, who recently returned from Dubai, met us at his door dressed as an Arab Sheik. We had a great laugh - and me without my camera.

Tonight we're off to a German Dinner, a fundraiser for our local German Club, and then to a 60's concert with Bruce and Shelly. I am really looking forward to the concert. Just wish I felt better. Regardless of my health, I am determined to be a better blogger next week. In the meantime, I've enjoyed reading the blogs of all my buddies out there.

Hippo Hugs.

The Canal Path looks wonderful in the pictures Pam.

What a cute Halloween couple! Wonder who they are. :-)

I've had the same illness. A little sore throat followed by the laryngitis, which is just now easing after over a week. It's been hard not being able to talk as much as I usually do.

Have a great Sunday!

Hugs,

Renie

I'm posting again...something happened the first time. If the other one mysteriously reappears....wwwooooohhhoo.

What an adorable couple! I'll be you guys had a fun Halloween. Be sure to let us know about the German Dinner and the 60's concert...

Sorry you're sick. I had the same thing a week ago. I knew I didn't have time for it to linger, plus I needed to be with my FIL. I took an antibiotic and felt better quickly. Hope you do too!!

Hugs,
Diane

I am so glad you got a picture of those masks. What was I thinking when you showed up on my doorstep bearing treats for the girls? Me?No camera?
Cami & I have been battling the sore throat thing too. I felt completely sorry for myself while I was doing our final fall clean-up/marathon raking yesterday.

Hope you are feeling better by now. I hate it when I get sick like that, but I seldom ever get sick.

Love your masks! So colorful! Know you had a great time! Do you remember the Halloween party you had one time when we were kids, and we dunked for apples? LOL

Knowing you, you will finish your canal path before the weather gets too bad. The pics look so beautiful!

Jim's project looked like quite a project! Hope he got it finished by now.

I posted today, finally! Not much, but, at least, I am back in blogland once again! LOL
