Monday Musings

It's a little chilly here in Henderson, so we decided to delay our walk until this afternoon. Here we are at Panera's having our coffee and muffins. We could go to the library for free Internet access, but as Jim says, "They don't have muffins and coffee at the library.

You won't believe that in the middle of doing this post, I lost everything but the first paragraph. Jim says that why he doesn't do computers, he would lose things and then be frustrated. Well, now the question is do I continue/backtrack or give up and chuck the whole thing. Not one to be deterred by little setbacks, I will continue/backtrack.

As I was saying, before I was so rudely interrupted, Louisville being defeated by Michigan State, I am in a quandary about who I will be rooting for in the Final Four. Given those still in the running...

Jim says that although he will continue to root for a Big East Team, he thinks North Carolina may take it all. I, on the other hand, have no real feelings one way or the other and have opted to keep rooting Big East and have chosen Villanova. Now, we'll just wait and see. For sure, we will be tuned in to the Big Dance next Monday.

Other than being glued to the TV watching basketball, we had a pretty quiet weekend. We did attempt to get last minute tickets to see one of our old favorites, Neil Sedaka, in concert last night. Alas, we waited too long and it was a sold out crowd. We were not terribly disappointed as we had seen him twice before and we have seen two really fabulous shows this trip.

Well, we've already had our muffins and coffee as well as some samples of an egg, spinach, bacon and cheese souffle and a blueberry scone, and it's almost lunch time. I guess I'll close for now wishing everyone a Happy Monday with

Those scones sound yummy right now as I am hungry. Guess I should be getting dinner ready instead of being on the computer but you know how it is. :o)

Not being much into basketball these days I guess I don't know who I should be cheering for. Played in high school 100 years ago and loved it. Being tall it was a help but now I probably couldn't make the length of the court! lol!

We are still getting rain today and it's getting rather muddy out there. Not a down pour but a steady trickle. I hope to ride my horse tomorrow but it will be in the inside arena for sure. Don't like to ride in the mud and have someone slip!

Have a good week, they are clipping by fast aren't they?! xoxo

*cheers* for that yummy cup of coffee and muffin...I love going out for coffee with my hubby too.
I'm sure that it's warmer in Henderson than here and right now it's thawing, so there are flods over the roads, dirt that's sand-blasting my car from the accumulation over the winter on the snowy roads and mud that sticks to the shoes or boots and smeared on the vehicles, so much so, that we have to kick it off around the wheel wells in order to be able to turn the wheels and not have the mud resrict that movement.....oiy!!

Hi Pam,

Chilly there? Has been a wee bit chilly during our getaway, only 60 degrees, but lots of sunshine, so not too bad. But when we got home, it was a pleasant 70 here!

I am not a basketball follower, but my son Greg is. He is a fan of the Memphis Grilies, and goes to watch them often. However, I have no idea if they're any good or not.

Your samples before lunch sounded pretty yummy! :-) As did the coffee and muffins. You can always walk it all off the next day.

Have a great Tuesday!

Hugs,

Renie

Hope the weather warms up quickly for you, so you can enjoy. It was cold and snowy here today. But, I can't complain the weather has been very spring-like for the last couple of weeks. See you soon.

I'm late but i'll wish a you a belated Happy Monday and a Happy Tuessday!
Not a fan of college b-ball although I used to like NBA some. I've just got out of sports pretty much anymore except for NFL and Nascar. Is it official? Am I a redneck? LOL
I'm having a better day. Kinda cautious but glad!

My brackets turned out SO bad...I didn't get even one of the Final Four teams right. Not really a huge fan of any of them, so I will just enjoy watching some good basketball!
