Bad, Bad Blogger

Okay, I admit it! I've been a bad blogger lately. I don't have an excuse. I don't know why. I have been pretty busy, but along with that I don't seem to have anything of real importance to say. I just haven't been able to dig down and come up with anything profound or even interesting to write about.

So, I guess I'll just play catch up.

The weather hasn't been especially nice, so I've been doing some inside things, like:

Cleaning the fridge and closets. Or:

Making cards on rainy days.

We had some not so bad days in which I:

Washed windows and worked on getting the porch ready for summer.

As I was taking pictures of finished projects, Jim said, "You're not going to blog a picture of your refrigerator, are you?" I can't lie to the guy, so I just didn't answer.

We've also managed to visit the Amish garden store and buy vegetable plants and some additions to my perennial garden. Yesterday was a great day and I managed to get some planting done and begin spreading mulch. If the rain stays away this afternoon, I hope to finish the mulching.

I've read a couple of fun books and taken a lot of naps. Oh yes, we saw Iron Man 2 and I was really disappointed. The first one was much better.

See what I mean? Not much very exciting going on in our neck of the woods.

Today is the annual school budget vote. There is a hotly contested battle for two school board seats. It is really interesting since, in most years, they can barely find someone willing to serve on the school board. It's been a really volatile year between the present board, administration and some townspeople. The result of this election could really change things. I know who I'm voting for!!

Once again, see what I mean???

Well, my garden is calling me and I feel I must answer. Hope all is well with my friends in Blogland. Keep on keeping on.

Is it a sin to covet your neighbor's awesomely red Adirondack chairs? lol On Sunday Brian and I were going to drag a cooler over to your front yard, plop down in your chairs and call you up to look out your windows. Aren't we dorks???

You and I have to have a glass of wine some hot afternoon and sit in the chairs. The guys can sit in lawn chairs. Or maybe a gin and tonic sometime in July? No you aren't dorks.

Hi Pam,

Wow, you have done a lot! I sure wouldn't take a picture of the inside of my fridge! But you inspired me to do something about the mess in there.

Love your porch. It looks so cozy and inviting. Definately great for spending time with a good book there, or with friends.

My blog is totally neglected. Haven't been inspired to blog at all, for some time now.

Have a great rest of the week!

Hugs,

Renie

Hi Pam,
I think we're cut from the same cloth....I haven't much to say either and am concentrating on just keeping my housework up, my yard work under control and then am spending many hours a week just doing things for and with Mom lately.
Today has been a tough one physically/emotionally...but this too will pass :)

I am so glad to hear from you again.
I can't believe the inside of the fridge mine is so bad.
I know what you mean about not much to have to say daily. I am a poor blogger also, but I sure do enjoy reading all of the others dear friends.
Thanks for sharing.
Ps your tribute to your mom was to touching. Loved it!!!

I think this time of year our minds are on things outside not on our computers as much. Or we are so tired from working in our gardens we are too pooped to post anything! At least that is my excuse! :o)

The lake house is coming along great. They should be putting in the kitchen this week which will be very exciting for me! I do need to go pick out a new refrigerator today so that can be put in. I will have pictures when everything is all done and the new furniture is in.

I love your sunporch. We enjoy ours so much too. I had a tv out there but Miss T wanted one in her room here so I took it out and don't miss it a bit. I just like looking out the windows at the horses, trees, flowers, sky and birds.

Can you please come over and help me clean out and organize my refrigerator??????!!!!!!!! I took some things out this morning that looked like a science project! ha!

Always nice to hear from you, I enjoy reading whatever you want to write!! xoxox
